Excellent breakfast. Helpful staff and owners. Very well situated for exploring York. Free parking (for residents). The price was very reasonable for the rooms booked (see below)

Rooms were unexpectedly small, although storage space was more than adequate. We should have bookled the De Luxe Double room; more expensive but very comfortable.

Overall: We enjoyed the stay, even getting used to the small size of the rooms. The 10 minute walk to/from York centre help to walk-off breakfast and the return trip did the same for dinner. Traffic in York is a nightmare so the free parking was very useful for limiting stress.  (107410316)

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
