Good location near to village centre Lovely walks from hotel Breakfast really good and fiiling

Atlthough very pleasant and friendly we found the owners to be a bit overly intrusive and the room and atmosphere claustrophobic I think we would have prefered a bigger hotel

Lovely clean room. Soppy and very gentle old dog ('Fred') acted as welcoming committee! Great views from our bedroom at the top of the house. Superb breakfast (the owners appreciate good food and know how to cook it). Owners very friendly.

Overall: This was a really pleasant way to start our holiday. Pateley Bridge is a beautiful little stopover if travelling North up the A1 (as we were) and also a convenient place to stop, being about halfway up the country. We also visited the 'oldest sweet shop in the world', had a good pub meal and picked up some really tasty local produce before we left.  (108910407)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
