windows WOULD open - one bed was comfortable - pillows comfortable - plenty of tea and milk - my fried and I had a problem and found one barmaid in particular was extremely helpful and actually took us to where we wanted to go - the breakfast was hot and there was plenty of tea and toast
very unclear where where reception was - only one cup in the room was clean - there was only one pack of biscuits - the shower spray was very, very slow - one bed had a lump in the middle of it and my friend ended up sleeping the wrong way in order to avoid it - cheap and nasty sausage on the breakfast - also the breakfast table was laid so that one of us would have been under the stairs, thus banging head when getting in or out of the seat - lots of different coloured carpets, one of which caused me problems as I wear varifocals and it was difficult to see the edge of the stairs - the general decor was dingy
Overall: I thought that the entire place could do with a good scrub and then needed redecorating, but the staff were friendly, polite and very helpful. However I would have expected more considering that the price was £75.00 per night for a twin room. (108569785)
Friendly staff and good breakfast plus good power shower in bathroom
Dark and unwelcoming decor in entrance, bar and dining area. Furniture and curtains look dated. Razor point light did not work, and bathroom light had intermittent fault. Bed mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable.
Overall: Glad our stay was only one night. We thought the charge of £75 for the night with breakfast was expensive. (107859251)
