Modern Appartment Block. Good bus service, soon to be trams, to City Centre. £3 all day ticket a bargain.

Remote from Edinburgh. Many new building being built. Threats of deposit being taken if room not kept clean or minor breakages. Payment if key lost etc. Not what is required from a hotel. Rooms not serviced, unless extra payment. Diificult to find and few locals know where it is. Directions very poor.

Overall: Unsettling and the hotel expereience detracts from enjoyment.  (107586038)

The staff were extremely friendly and very pleasant. The price we payed could not be beaten. Location was very good.

Few faults with windows and heating in the apartment - however this is a new build and we understood they still have a snagging list. Was not impressed with the mess of broken glass and cigarette butts outside the apartments. I know these are residential lets also but the mess was really bad and brought down the tone of the area.

Overall: The location was perfect and the cost was good. The apartment was much preferable to me than a hotel due to the space, especially for the price we payed. I would definitely stay again and would consider trying the other apartments available through the company on my next visit.  (107788108)

Good value close to amenities

Waited 20 mins to be served in Waterfront cafe for breakfast, gave up in the end as no-one even acknowledged we had come in and others served before us. due to proximatey of construction were awakened each morning at 7.30 am

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
