Public areas looked nice, upstairs is a different matter. Our room (9) had had a brave attempt at a 50 minute makeover but sadly the coat of red paint and gold squares did little to cheer up the horrendous beds, windows which were almost falling out (in sympathy with the bomb-site of a view outside) lack of fire doors, dangerous electrics, shabby furniture and a door which looked to have been forced recently.

Overall: It was OK, I would stay again due to it being value for money, but in a different room. Breakfast good and the staff were really friendly and attentive.  (108668159)

Breakfast excellent, bar and lounge area good.

Bar not open after 11.00pm during the week for residents.Room needed refurbishing.
