Good location - 5 min walk to the harbour, great views, nice dining room and DELICIOUS FOOD!, staff very friendly, hotel parking. I booked my dinner in advance and got 20% discount!
My room was quite old however clean and comfortable.

clean and kind, convinient access to beach and train station, kind staffs, easy to find, great view of sea, good hot breakfast, fair cost of dinner at restaurant,
facilities are pretty old, but clean.
Overall: I would recommend this hotel to accuqintances, and I woould stay in this hotel again if I go to St. Ives again. (108457631)

The booking system was very straight forward and easy. Upon arrival, the receptionist was most welcoming and friendly. Her personality gave the impression that this was a family run hotel and she was keen to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. Our room exceeded our wildest dreams! We had a commanding view over the bay, a balcony with table and chairs, enormous room with king size bed as well as a spacious en suite bathroom with double basins, shower and bath. Breakfast was excellent, superbly fresh with helpful service. Very easy to find the hotel, good car parking facilities and very close to the town centre and railway station.
Overall: Excellent. We shall certainly recommend the Porthminster to friends and business colleagues. (107746833)

We absolutely loved The Porthminster hotel. It has lots of charater and was definately our sytle of accommadation. Views are stunning and service was at a good standard. We were actually surprised how nice our bedroom was, just being a standard double room which we stayed in.
An addition which could have been made, having flannels/face cloth in the bathroom.
Parking facility could have been better.
