Lovely hotel, Room and food - excellent

Booking made was not what was requested. Only had a double room. And because of this was asked to pay more money - very embarrassing

Overall: Once the embarrasment of the booking was sorted out be the manager it was great  (107879558)

room was clean and comfortable, food was delicious, service was great

water pressure was awful , there was no welcome to our town orientation booklet or list of restaraunts , activities and events for area , also found the standard tv a bit too complex for an overnight stay

Overall: had a wonderful stay and will definitely stay if in area again  (108238886)

the room was available on short notice

things mentioned in an email sent to me that were supposed to be in the room were not there, the shower wouldnt turn off independantly from the bath . the bed was so uncomfortable i hardly slept a wink , the breakfast was barely warm when it got to our room

value for money / modern equipment / good amenities

no playstation in room when booking confirmation stated this. credit card charged £3.95 for mineral water which wasn't in the room to start with. Expensive food (£16.95 breakfast = above my company's expense policy guidelines) completely outweighed any saving from the cheap room rate.

Overall: Not bad. Would shop around for something more suitable next time.  (108193875)

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
