Staff all helpful and pleasant. Location lovely and could see a view of the bay when standing up in the room! A fan was provided when i said i was too hot. Parking was easy.
Room small and very hot, no air con. No shower!!!! Decor peeling in places. tv was terrestial only. Swimming pool and sauna only. In pool area the steam and jacuzzi, and shower and toilet not funtioning. Repairs and refurbishment under way, but this was not on the website, and i was handed a piece of paper when i arrived to inform me of this. A bit late when i had travelled on a ferry to get there!!
There should have been a substantial reduction in price, as this hotel not worth the 120 a night i paid.
Overall: Wouldn't stay again as felt cheated. I have stayed in hotels much better than this, and never paid this much. It was probably worth about 60 to 70 for a night. (107213986)
Breakfast and Breakfast Service was excellent.... but that was it, no other good points.
Extremely disaapointed in the lack of attention to detail - Premier Hotel Price but B & B quality.
Overall: We had stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and had been very pleased with it... sadly we were not aware that new owners had taken over only 3 months ago. Certainly not worth the money we were charged (107124294)
Pleasant helpful staff, quiet position. Dinner on first night was fine. Were offered a third room after the picture fell off the wall.
Asked to change room on arrival; it was very dark. Bathroom old, floor not clean around the edges. Picture fell off wall in the night. Furnishings rather dated, including net curtains. Breakfast was mixed; poor quality sausages, mushrooms cooked in strange tasting oil(?), croissants poor quality. Dinner on last night was poor; seem to specialise in a 'bed' or 'nest' of mashed potato on the menus. Heated pools were cool; jacuzzi not working; reception couldn't find a towel for the pool, so had to take one from a room!
