Friendliness of staff

Lack of amenities in bedroom. Bathroom needs updating.

Character and ambience of hotel would be hard to beat . Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Ate in bar and food was of a high quality.

Given the age of building noise could be a problem from the bar below. The blankets tended to be somewhat heavy and although more traditional a duvet would perhaps be preferable.

Overall: The nature of the hotel is such that guests should not expect some of the aspects that you would normally get in a modern building . This was more than compensated for though .  (107465729)

Very good food and good choice. Excellent service overall. Comfortable room.

Poor parking arrangements. Poor lighting in our room. Carpets not cleaned during our stay. Access to the bed was difficult for my wife.
