Beautiful view, nice clean room with all the necessities, very nice breakfast. Just on the outskirts of Torquay made for a more peaceful stay.

Bed was a little hard, TV kind of small for the size of the room.

Overall: Very enjoyable. Would stay again.  (108155139)

4.9 / 5 4.9 / 5 Anonymous on 13/08/2009 (Mature couple)

All staff very friendly and very well mannered. Good breakfast. Hotel very clean. Ample parking.

At £25pp the evening meal is an unrealistic price to pay for most people. The "entertainment" was not well advertised and was not of a very good standard. A lower priced evening meal and better entertainment might encourage guests to stay in the hotel during the evening. The lounge was virtually empty every night - a lost opportunity I think.

Overall: 20 minute pleasant walk to town centre and harbour. Bus stop opposite, buses very frequent.  (108653247)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
