Everything about the hotel was excellent, thought that the free membership of the fitness centre was a nice touch
Overall: We ate in the very nicely appointed restaurant. We chose to have a carvery meal but sadly the vegetables were quite cold. I sent mine back but my wife did not want to complain. My meal was replaced with a complete apology by the manager. The hotel cancelled our meal charge although I was not expecting this. (108924855)

Lovely room with good quality bedding. Fantastic breakfast and attentive waiting staff in the restaurant
The corridor leading to our room smelt of cigarette smoke, but our room was fine. We wanted to eat our evening meal in the restaurant but were unable to get in. The swim wear int he leisure facility was very extravagantly priced so we didn't buy anything and consequently didn't use this facility.
Overall: We had a peaceful stay in a lovely room. Just right for a romantic evenign. (107413757)

Besides my frustration with Active Hotels for not informing Marriott of our booking, the stay was O.k. It could have been great if a proper room was available to offer.
The problem was not with the hotel but with this Active Hotel site and booking system. Active Hotel had not informed the hotel of our booking done 5 days earlier. Marriott Peterborough had a big event going on so being that they where not aware of our arrival, they fortunately gave us the last " emergency" room available.
Overall: The hotel is quite nice, very good value for money. (107435190)
