was only about 10min walk from tube which was really handy, and if you get the 360 bus from oxford street it takes you right to the nd of the road so good transoprt links, staff seem friendly and helpful. It was also good value for money.
I wasnt too keen on having to hand the key in everytim we went anywhere but as long as someone was always at reception it is ok. Our room had a cracked window so it did get a little draughty sometimes n you could hear the weather outside well.
Overall: Overall it was a pleasant stay and I think we would definitely stay there again. (108241940)
A decent base for trips into London at a reasonable price. Basic bedroom but clean. Breakfast was as good as I expected.
No chairs in bedroom due to available space. I would also have liked a kettle for tea/coffee service in the bedroom rather than relying on the vending machine at Reception which didn't have any cups.
Overall: Decent value for money where you can get a good nights sleep in a clean bed. I would stay there again. (108516427)
Very hard to think of a good point except the lady at reception was very cheerful.
Room in very poor decorative condition. shower fittings broken. hot water tap not working on sink. toilet broken.
Overall: I know the price was only £49.00 for one night and could be considered cheap for a London Hotel but you would expect the basics to be in order. taps not working and shower fittings broken is not very good. (108731811)
none apart from checking out
plaster coming off walls, curtains hanging off rails, hole in the wall, poor unfriendly service/staff, expensive, no choice for the breakfast, broken window, light in bathroom-paint peeling, possible damp in room. unclen
Overall: absolutely appauling. this is not a hotel this is not a bed and breakfast. THIS SHOULD NOT BE RUNNING AT ALL. I HAVE COMPLAINED TO THE TRADING STANDARDS AND TO THE ENVIROMENTAL HEALTH AND VISIT LONDON.COM AND TO THE BBC AND TO THE MANAGER-THIS PLACE IS THAT BAD!!!!!!!!!!! (107423883)
absolutely none in fact I have submitted a complaint to Islington Borough Council for them to investigate the premises
filthy room - peeling wallpaper, torn curtain, broken shower, BLOOD STAIN on bed cover, en-suite W.C. totally inadequate far too small. In the grounds on leaving a filthy double mattress slung in the garden and empty beer cans everywhere! fire regulations none existent - no hydrants - nothing
Overall: the worst hotel I've ever stayed in! Quality of breakfast was atrocious I have nothing good to say in its favour - this is skid row big time. (108112447)
Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.
Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.
All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.
48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
