Beautiful venue, excellent and courteous staff. A memorable experience
The only thing I can find against the place was I thought that the menu was a bit limited and rather pricey.
Overall: Would definitely come here again. Plenty of facilities. And if you don't like the menu then there are two pubs within 600yds that offer alternatives. Please note though - the food here is superb and beautifully presented! Staff's attitude and helpfulness can't be faulted. (108879036)

Food was good - a nice surprise
Room was OK (in the attic), but felt dusty - irritated my chest/breathing
Dining room is beautiful architecturally, but more could be done to improve the atmosphere....felt a little austere!
Overall: Location great, loved the gardens and the history behind the manor. However, interior is tired (yes, I know it`s an historic building....but!) and the room that I had (14), although visually OK could have done with a good dusting and deep clean. Curtains were full of dust and there was a small variety of wildlife crawling the walls - spiders & bugs!! Overall relatively fair for the discounted price paid, but there was a general lack of atmosphere. The girl on reception and lady at breakfast were good, but otherwise the staff were OK. (108306371)

The grounds were lovely and peaceful, the hotel was well maintained, service very good and the staff helpful and polite. All this made a relaxing and enjoyable weekend.
Swimming pool wasn't open and one of the reasons I chose the hotel was because it had a swimming pool.
To use the hotel restaurant in the evening was expensive with quite limited choice
