Waitress in the Bar sorry dont know her Name , very helpfull,cheerfull and made our stay .
Bed rooms need updating, Breakfast needs bringing in line with today's travellers needs,

food was plentiful and well cooked...bedding clean and of good quality...towels clean and good quality...was very warm in the hotel
not enough staff...needs updating.....paintwork peeling in my bedroom which smelt dampish....
Overall: bit hit and miss....no tables set at breakfast on both mornings we were there...had to do it ourselves....they had a coachload in and those people were definitely given preferential tratment by all the staff...on the other hand was not expensive ...we felt the waiters should be called basil or manuel...!! Hotel had no record of conformed online booking upon arrival.
Hotel rooms and general condition was shabby to say the least.
Windows were painted in place, unable to open.
Light shades were missing or broken, furniture old and abused.
Overall: Not to be recommended, very disappointing. I knew this hotel from a number of years ago was was shocked by it's demise. (107447305)
Good bar area, great location, nice breakfast, comfy beds
Shower hanging off the wall, cheap thin pillows, poor decor, potholes in the car park, noisy fan in bathroom, stain in sink where tap had been dripping for years
Overall: For one night and somewhere to 'rest your head', this place will suffice as accommodation is few and far between in Tynemouth. Lack of other accommodation is probably reflected in the price, as £65 per night for this standard of hotel is ridiculous. The hotel is clean, but the decor and overall maintenance is extremely poor. Some of the maintenance issues (showers hanging off and car park potholes) have crossed the line into being unsafe. (108813979)
