Friendly welcoming staff. Excellent quality food in restaurant. Extremely comfortable beds in high quality rooms.
Did not find anything wrong although rooms on top floor probably not a good option for people with less mobility (2 sets of stairs).

Pretty setting and good public rooms
Small eves room, sloping ceiling, tired furnishing and ancient patched woodchip wallpaper. Bathroom particulary poor
Overall: Wedding reception in progress on arrival so many hotel facilities including grounds unavailable (107740328)

Staff very frienddly and helpful, including suggesting other places to eat, and rectifying problem (see other box).
Hotel very clean, food excellent.
The coridoor outside our room and our room had a strong smell of stagnant water when we arrived as the watermill had not been working for a while and (we beleive) stagnant water was held at the top. The staff did everything to rectify this - we were offered another room but as we were only there 1 more night we didn't bother. The staff put air fresheners in the coridoor which helped and also ran the mill wheel for a bit (even though it was broken which was why it had not been in use) to circulate the water.
Overall: Lovely hotel and grounds, good food and helpful staff. (107608565)

Very pleasant rooms, met the expectation after reading the description on the web site. Great welcome and a fantastic location.
Overall: Would definitely stay here again when i have reason to be in the Chard area. (107770310)
