I loved the room. It was on the small side but very cosy and homely. The decor was lovely, a few tips for home I think! It was nice to be on the front and watch the water.

There was no vegetarian option for the breakfast, despite mentioning it in the booking weeks before hand. The breakfast could have been smaller and better quality. The vine tomatos were a nice touch!

Overall: The room was a little pricey for the size but very comfortable and I would stay again.  (108153541)

Very convenient for the town centre rooms had recently been renovated.

Parking a bit of a problem -limited. Room was small just sufficient room for the double bed

Overall: Generally very helpful staff who tried to accomodate requests.  (108662670)

the breakfast was excellent with top quality produce. The bacon was lovely and as I buy it myself (Slacks) I know it is not the cheapest. The staff were friendly and responsive to our few small issues. The bedroom and bathroom were really nicely fitted out.Good evening menu. Owner/Manager? very kindly let us have his parking space for the whole of our stay which was great

The water and biscuits weren't provided on the second day but situation quickly resolved. Bedroom was starting to feel a bit small after two nights

Overall: Very good, excellent location  (107889433)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
