staff at the front desk were very unprofessional, i myself work for a big hotel chain and found members of staff not helpful and very dis-organised.

Location - very central, breakfast, parking facilities

1.The hotel: it is under remodeling. WE couldn' find our room after the check in because there are 3 different stair cases and there was no elevator to our room. 2. The Room: shower glass was broken and dangerous.

Overall: Next time I think we will choose a B&B rather than a Hotel.  (107758682)

Hotel was great value for money (after research on other options), good breakfast and lovely atmosphere in the hotel, including the residents' bar. Bathroom was great and room was very comfortable. Good location too for airport bus and tour pickups.

None really - although it's not on the south side of the Liffey close to Temple Bar if that's what you're looking for. All in all though Dublin is very compact and it was easy to walk around and walk back to the hotel.

Overall: Had a great time - would definitely stay at the Castle again  (107855840)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
