The room was large and spacious and really comfortable.

The cleaning was not consistent and there seemed no clear structure in the running of the place. Would also not recommend the breakfast it was a coronary waiting to happen.

Overall: It was a lovely stay, however the guest house could benefit from a clearer structure in its overall running.  (107367089)

The staff were very friendly and helpfull

It need quite a bit of attention. Needs to be updated. Didn't like having to pay upfront before we had even seen the room.

Overall: Staying at this Guest house made me realise I would never do cheap again, it's worth paying that little bit extra to get a better standard.  (97857605)

4.3 / 5 4.3 / 5 SEAN [ARMAGH, GB] on 29/01/2008 (Mature couple)

THE LOCATION TO THE RDS,A QUIET ROOM,GOOD BREAKFAST,HELPFUL STAFF

UNFORTUNATLY WE SEEMED TO HAVE A FAULTY BED AND OUR ROOM HAD A VERY STRONG SMELL OF FOOD BEING COOKED PERHAPS WE WERE ABOVE THE KITCHEN?

Overall: OVERALL WE WERE HAPPY WITH OUR ACCOMODATION.HAVING WALKED AROUND THE RDS ALL DAY I WOULD HAVE LIKED A COMFORTABLE CHAIR IN THE ROOM,BUT OTHERWISE THE ROOM WAS WELL EQUIPPED eg.HAIRDRIER,IRON,SKY TV ALL AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY.  (97105309)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
