the staff were very pleasant and quite frienly.the bed linen was very good and the bed comfotable..

the cleaness of the room was deplorable, fithy light switches, the shower was so dirty my partner would not use it.mouse droppings in the toilet area,.breakfast was 8-till-9 on a sunday morning so we missed it,

Overall: appart from the pleasant staff i found it far below the the standard we were use to for that type of hotel.  (108729627)

Friendly staff.

Very electric connections for devices. Electrical things very poor. Refridgerator was dirty inside.

Overall: We had a good stay and knew that for this price we could expect what we got. People are working hard to make the hotel run, but the needs a big fresh up.  (107508396)

Did not have a record of my booking when I arrived. Breakfast was worse I have experienced in all my years travelling. Bed was on it last legs.

Overall: This is not a hotel - There are B&B's 10 times the standard. Overall very disappointed with two night stay in area.  (108952499)

Very helpful and friendly staff. Clean bed sheets!!!

Bathroom was very very dirty. Dangerous electric sockets with tape over them. Car park full of rubbish and no lighting. Noisy extractor fan from kitchens outside the window. Dirty fridge in the room. Inadequate tea and coffee facilities in the room with a jug of stagnant water next to it. Room had not been hoovered or generally cleaned.

Overall: Overall poor hotel but with nice staff.  (108602606)

1.3 / 5 1.3 / 5 wayne [weymouth, GB] on 17/08/2009 (Mature couple)

None

Curtains hanging of the track, lamp shade smashed only one light out of 3 working. Previous peoples food drink left in fridge. Room very unclean. But the worse thing was when you ran the water in the en suite the smell of sewage came up through the shower. Ensuite also very unclean. Hoover left on the stairs with wire trailing behind it.

Overall: I would definatley not use this hotel again, or recommend it. We did not stop for breakfast we dare not risk it. We even thought about sleeping in our car as it was that bad.  (108931533)

3.7 / 5 3.7 / 5 Ian [Canterbury, GB] on 03/07/2009 (Solo business traveller)

The room had all I needed

Too many stairs with no lift. Too noisy until the early hours with the window open.

Overall: Served the purpose  (107605805)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
