Staff excellent, lovely spacious room, beautiful grounds, food a bit pricey but really tasty, Active Hotels told us it was £7.50 for breakfast but it was in fact £11.50, however a really nice cafe 1/2 a mile away for £4.50.

Active hotels had booked us for a single room in spite of my booking for two adults and a child, my daughter and I had to share a small double bed and we had to make up a bed on the floor for my grandson

Overall: The hotel managed to accommodate us the best they could in spite of Active Hotel's mistake  (108888373)

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
