Good no frills hotel with excellent service

My compliments to your Restaurant staff on the evening of the 26th, the poor girl who's name we never got was working herself to the bone and kept a proper attitude towards the customers and the chef in the kitchen was totally worked out but kept the food standards high and surprisingly, taking into consideration the time of night 11:00 p.m. was still trying to satisfy the customers with food and to our surprise did not walk out telling everybody to get stuffed. He worked,as we were under the impression totally on his own in the kitchen, my wife owned a pub and knows what kind of gratitude should be considered towards the staff who has to work under these conditions, under staffed and over worked and all of the customers seemed oblivious as to what they were putting up with as they never openly complained, some customers were asking for a meal for 6 people at 11:00 p.m. and were politely refused because the chef still must have had about 6 previous meals to complete, now these people will probably complain but I think you have to draw the line somewhere as staff would still have to clean up and prepare for meals in the morning.

I think a review of the hotels requirements over an extremely busy week-end should be more considered, some management are not bothered what other employees have to do to keep up a franchise reputation as long as they do not have to participate, I think if management had to cover on a particular week-end when the hotel is busy they may take a differen attitude towards staff coverage. We as customers were slightly inconvenienced but because we have been in the business we understood but how many others would.

Overall: Very impressed, normally we have stayed at Travelodge and Days Inn as I am Canadian and can relate to these particular chains, but I was well impressed with Premier Inns and having discussed it with my wife we would definitely stay at Premier Inns again. When travelling on behalf of my company I am now disappointed that I never tried Premiere Inns before now.  (107718564)

The hotel was conveniently locaated for donnington park and the the staff and food were excellent nice clean room
