Welcoming staff and very tastefully appointed.

Shower very old needs replacing - problems turning water off.

Lovely location and building

Having arrived late in the evening I then spent ages wandering around multiple empty rooms calling out hello. I finally managed to find someone who then allowed me to struggle up the stairs with 4-5 bags heavy bags - as a female business traveller they have obviously never seen "The Hotel Inspector"! Check out was also extremely poor (having to wait 15-20 minutes from first notifying them I was ready to check out) and left me running late for my meeting which I wasn't impressed with as you can guess!

Overall: A very poor experience. Good hotel, shame about the owners! Talking to someone about my experience afterwards who is a Bath resident and they told me the place has a poor reputation. I certainly wouldn't stay there again and wouldn't recommend the place either. Not sure how they managed to attain the 5 diamond rating I saw on their door.  (108114640)

The hoteliers were very accomodating and friendly,they had a portfolio which gave the history of the hotel,with info on where to eat out etc...

Overall: We had a wonderful 2 night stay which was for a special occasion , the hotel and owners were superb,Breakfast was delicious, nothing was to much trouble, the area was lovely with some good local pubs/food. Perfect location to visit Bath and surrounding areas. We would recommend staying.  (107839825)

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
