The staff were very courteous and helpful.
The access to transport, there is a tram stop literally around the corner. The JetBus from the airport stops at the top of the road, Place Gambetta.
Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby,to siut all bugets and tastes and of course shops!!
The room was on the small side. very little storage for our things.
The breakfast was over priced, considering it was self service, better option to go to a local cafe for less money and more choice.and probably nicer!!
Overall: Clean hotel and the staff were friendly. Close to transport, and you dont need to hire a car as the transport is so efficient and cheap!! Buy a card at any tram stop for unlimited travel on the buses and trams!!! (108091705)

I didn't like the attitude of some of the personnel when arriving.
Overall: Given the street situation in Bordeaux and the location of the hotel and having called the hotel to get instructions for arriving, the person with whom I spoke wasn't very helpful at all and I ended up wasting more time than was necessary finding a way to get to the hotel. Upon finally arriving and mentioning this situation to the clerk at check-in, I was surprised to see the type of negative attitude the clerk had about the whole thing. This hotel also has another rule that I found strange: you can't eat food brought in from the outside of the hotel in the room (but you can eat what they put into the refrigerator or what they sell you at their counter). Weird. Other than that our stay was generally without incident and the rest of the staff was friendly. (99881382)
Big, comfortable double bed and spacious bathroom. Hotel in ideal position from which to explore Bordeaux. Staff efficient and friendly.
Would be sensible to include kettle and tea/coffee in room as matter of course rather than by request.
Overall: Bordeaux is a fine place to visit and this hotel is at the centre of the city. The 'prestige' double room we stayed in was comfortable and generally well found. Building work was going on across the narrow 'street' at the front of the hotel, but so what? The arrival of a gigantic crane in such a narrow street only added to the fun. The photograph of the hotel used in the advert for the hotel is not recognisable as the place we stayed in but the trams are real! Overall good value. Little in the way of public rooms, but fine for the couple of days we stayed there in fine weather when such were unnecessary. (46103833)
It is in a fantastic location in the heart of the most beautiful part of the city and right by the tram and major walking streets. Easy to get anywhere from the hotel.
Noisy
Overall: There was construction going on that was very noisy. When that is complete it will be more pleasant. The rooms are very small and I would have liked to have opened the window at night but it was too loud. The shower is very French -meaning not up to what most Americans are used to. The breakfast seemed overpriced. We chose to eat in cafes for most of our breakfasts at about half the price. If you want a very large breakfast then the breakfast price is worth it. Overall it felt overpriced for what you got but we don't have a lot to compare it to. (99852573)
Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.
Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.
All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.
48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
