Lovely view, an array television channels, large bathroom. Nice property

A desolate walk of 2 km from the city center on a dark road with critters in the hills. You need a car or at least a scooter if you're staying at this property.

Overall: I checked out after one day to be closer to city center  (107408625)

A great little hotel.

A little overpriced at over 180 Euros (without breakfast). No restaurant.

Overall: We were only at the hotel from 8pm to 11am, and during that time we spent a few hours eating at a restaurant in St. Maxime. Hotel and room were great and the pool looked very inviting, although we didn't use it. We would stay at the hotel again, but would probably look at cheaper alternatives as we thought it was a bit overpriced. The hotel was at least a couple of miles outside the centre on St. Maxime, so a car was fairly essential to us on the night, as the staff at the hotel explained that it would be unlikely that at a taxi would come out to travel such a short distance - nice to know that taxis provide such a great service when you've got small children!  (108039477)

It was a quaint, French inn with character nestled in the hills above the village of Ste Maxime.

Sparse, small worn towels, minimal bath supplies, cold tile floors. No internet. Worn thin sheets on an old, hard mattress. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY: We woke to ants crawling all over the floor and in our bags. No one at the hotel spoke any English, so they did not understand what we were saying.

Overall: AND MOST IMPORTANTLY: We woke to ants crawling all over the floor and in our bags. No one at the hotel spoke any English, so they did not understand what we were saying. We also asked to be able to use the computer in the office to get online - she didn't have time to help us and was the only one there to make breakfast. Also, when we arrived, the staff was power washing the cobblestone paths, so everything was wet, we had to carry our bags up two back flights of rock steps and we could not sit out on our small, underfurnished deck. WE couldn't even open our patio doors because of hte noise and water. We couldn't even get any bottled water. This was not a pleasant experience. Of our two weeks in France, this was the only substandard hotel we stayed in.  (97193744)

Perfectly clean and comfortable. The gardens, the staff.

Overall: I have nothing but praise for this hotel. I would stay there again, any time, and would highly recommend it.  (97915344)

It was private with an excellent bathroom.

Overall: The hotel was set in a pretty area not far from town with good parking.  (97655769)

Room was large and very tasteful, everything we needed was there.

Overall: The staff were very nice and very helpful, the room we had was excellent and the pool facilities were very good. The only minor thing we could have known beforehand there was no tea and coffee facility in the room that is all I can say. Other than that we will stay again in the future.  (97602234)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
