The beds were okay

The room was extremely small, the bunk-bed was on top of the double, so sitting up you'd knock your head. It was on an industrial estate and all the other guests were truckers it seemed!

Overall: Well...it was okay as a stop-over, just so we could sleep but it was a very basic 'room-nothing-else' hotel...  (97477153)

Well positioned for visits and exploratory trips to the Limousin departments. Excellent helpful staff. Excellent choice of restaurants within walking distance.

None. It was a very good hotel when compared to the cost.

Overall: Excellent low cost base to explore the region.  (108063211)

Value for money Ease of parking Coffee and juice superb at breakfast

Shower/toilet facilities far too cramped Not enough shelf space in shower room for toiletries, etc Choice of breakfast rolls too limited Hotel extremely noisy - our rooms over kitchen and no soundproofing, woken very early by kitchen noise/early truckers going for breakfast, could also hear guests in other rooms

staff very helpfull and were willing to speak english where our french was poor

I know its a budget hotel but that doesnt mean that the rooms are to be like a garage. there was little light and was in need of decorating. The ballidines down the road where we have stayed before and for a similar price is a much nicer experience.

Overall: We checked in,showered and changed went for a birthday dinner then decided to go home. It was a dissapointment and spoiled the evening with having to drive home to our house.  (97454782)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
