Car parking - problematic! Very little helpful advice was offered; an email prior to our visit, specifically requesting advice, was not answered. Unloading our luggage and carrying it to the hotel proved to be awkward and difficult. (Nb. We paid a total of 42 Swiss francs to park the car for 42 hours in an underground car park about 10-15 minutes' walk from the hotel.)
Rock concert on in square adjacent to hotel! - we had little sleep on the Friday night when the set was being constructed, nor on the Saturday night when it was being dismantled. Felt exhausted when we checked out! Some soundproofing of rooms overlooking the square would be a good investment.
Shower was feeble.
Overall: We enjoyed our time in Bern; the family event we attended was very successful. However, we were disappointed by the Metropole, on the whole. (97139502)

Very noisy due to pop concert in street. Would have liked prior warning as the erection and dismantling of the stage as well as the concert caused me to miss two night's sleep. A reduced rate for the inconvenience would be appreciated.
