Very friendly and helpful staff! I arrived late at night and they got me a coffee and explain how to find and use the public transport (tram and bus) in the morning. The restaurant was excellent - very good food in the evening! The area is quiet, very little background noise so I could sleep with the window wide open. Much better than city centre hotels in that regard.
Birsfelden is outside the city centre of Basel so you need to take public transport if you want to see the night life. But that is part of the fun!!!
Wireless internet costs 25CHF for four hours.
Overall: I recommend Hotel Alfa as a good safe and clean alternative to city centre hotels, very relaxing and enjoyable stay. (107419900)
