Delightful buildings and layout, unspoilt character, relaxed and welcoming ambiance, very nice dining / breakfast room with excellent selection of high quality items on offer. Very friendly and welcoming staff.
None as such - the only comment is that, for late night arrivals, it would be nice to be able to take a drink before bed (no bar or tea/coffee making facilities available).
Overall: We arrived later than the required 20:30 for checkin, but this was not an issue and we found our key and room without any difficulty. The room was fairly small but very comfortable and clean, equipped to a high standard, with some very nice touches (exposed brickwork, shutters..)and an excellent hot and powerful shower. It was a shame that, having driven for almost 1000Km (from Madrid), we were unable to have a drink before going to bed - a bar, or even simple facilities for making coffee, would have been very welcome. The hotel is a little way out of the village, and the village at that time (21:30 on a Thursday) was completely shut for the night, so there was nothing at all in terms of choice for food and drink. Nevertheless, the night was very restful. Breakfast in the morning was superb, the dining facilities are charming and full of character, as is the entire hotel; the buildings are delightfully unspoiled and steeped in historic charm. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Overall this was a really enjoyable, relaxing overnight stay, in a lovely hotel in a superb, peaceful location with excellent staff. It has a secluded and exclusive, high quality feel; and we will definitely be returning for a longer break in the future. (108868888)
