excellent service, greeted with room key on return after opera at 2:00 in the morning!
Breakfast service good. Restaurant service at dinner was very slow, food not up to expectations.

Reasonable facilities and specification. Further away from Lucca than website suggested but still reasonably convenient. Clean but slightly clinical feel.
Poor soundproofing (bathroom:room and room:room). Expensive for facilities offered, not really a 'superior' room and feel it was worth E95 rather than E112. Why did nobody say the restaurant was closed on a Thursday?
Overall: Need better indication of distance from Lucca centre, and much better instructions on finding the hotel - it is in Carignano and not in Lucca. Hotel has lot of conference facilities and we felt that these were much more important to the hotel than individual guests. Staff not totally on the ball at reception or in breakfast room. Felt that the manager might learn a great deal of useful information by staying in his own hotel for 2 or 3 nights as if he were a guest. (99699652)
