Comfortable and pleasant. In countryside. Friendly staff.

No tea and coffee in room. Restaurant were a seperate organisation and one had to pay separately for meals. Only one rather flat pillow supplied per person. There should be two and it took too long to get them. No tea and coffee available to make in rooms. No english channel on the TV

Our room,although compact,was exceptionally clean and well organized. We were suprised by having a balcony on which to sit and enjoy a beautiful mountainscape. The restaurant, on the lower level, was excellant. Staff of the both the hotel and the reataurant were helpful and courteous. The location was excellant for travel to Lucca, Pisa, the coast ,and anywhere in Northern Tuscany. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

The only slight disadvantage was that we could not place our in-house restaurant meals on our hotel bill. They were stated to be separate activities.

Quiet with beautiful views.

No outside area to enjoy the surroundings, would have liked somewhere provided to sit in the garden.

Overall: Service a bit chaotic in restaurant at evening meal and food a bit disappointing.  (99022746)

The rooms were spotless, well laid out, with a beautiful view of the Tuscan hills. The staff and owners were friendly and so helpful and gave us lots of great advice on places to visit in the area.

Overall: The hotel is spotlessly clean, everyone in the hotel was so friendly and helpful. Nothing was a problem. The owner advised us on places to visit and how to get there. As we had no car we used the local bus service ,the bus stops outside the hotel on both sides of the road, because of this we had easy access to the trains and suburban buses and to Lucca (20 mins away) itself. The restraunt in the Hotel had the most wonderful foods, with a great selection of dishes to suit all. Their wine menu was fantastic. They advised on dishes, wines and were so gracious and accomodating, it made a beautiful holiday perfect. I would have no hesitation in reccommending the hotel and the restraunt. A great hotel, friendly and helpful staff, amazing views and a top class restraunt gave us the most fantastic holiday.  (49833189)

Very comfortable, clean, spacious, and the restaurant was excellent.

Overall: The location of Da Carlos is good, between Lucca and Pisa, and the hotel very comfortable. Carlos and his staff were very very helpful and made our brief visit very pleasant.  (99795035)
