Location: Close to the city centre [5 min bus ride]. Surrounded by cafes/bars and restaurants and down the road from a great Spa. Hotel itself: Very clean and homely. Great facilites e.g. safe, bikes, air con, hair dryer. Service: Absolutley fantastic, staff can't do enough for you. Speak excellent English and are constantly trying to make your stay more enjoyable/relaxing. 3* doesn't do this hotel justice.

Overall: From the minute we arrived right through to check out, we were completely spoilt. They recommended and booked restaurants for us [given our Italian doesn't go much further than saying 'prego' to everything], they arranged a half day Spa and negotiated better times so we could have them done at the same time. On our last night we asked for a Pizza to be delivered to the room, when they couldn't find a pizza delivery service open they went to the supermarket, made us the pizza we had requested, and then brought it up to us themselfes [and then announced it was on them as it was our last night]. They tailored our mini bar so there was only drinks in there that we liked. Rooms were given a propper clean every day, and after a hard night mingling with the locals they extended breakfast time to aid our recovery. We rented bikes which was excellent, and the outside bar area is ideal for relaxing/playing cards before dinner. I'm definately going back to Hotel Residence - it's fantastic and made our holiday extremely memorable. We would thoroughly recommend that you give it a try, but be warned you won't want to leave!! 48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
