welcoming, very friendly and helpful staff, a spacious room with pleasant, clean and simple decor, a confortable bed and good pillows, a bathroom with piles of white fluffy towels and a large balcony with gorgeous views.
Overall: I arrived at the hotel with no baggage [lost in transit] and my holiday plans in ruins. They took me shopping that very evening in Cisternino to buy everything I needed from a toothbrush to a warm [and crucially fashionable!] jacket, helped me throughout my week's visit with restaurants and transport, talked to me when I was lonely, let me use their internet, and rejoiced with me when my baggage finally turned up four days later. Because everybody from the owners through the desk and office staff to the cleaning ladies was so generous, friendly and helpful, a week that started in disaster turned into a lovely, quiet and peaceful holiday. It was like staying with family, only much, much more relaxing! The hotel is modern, beautifully situated on a hillside with lovely views of the countryside as far as Ostuni, and a five minute walk from the main street of Cisternino. In the winter, they don't offer an evening meal but there is a good range of trattorie in the 'centro storico', the quaint old town, and some nice cake-and-coffee shops to fill any spare corners. I had a great time, and I look forward to going back any time I can find an excuse! (97382767)
