Nicely located, clean, excellent breakfast. Nice terrace. all the staf was gentle except the Gentlemen at the Main desk who welcome us !!*??

The person at check-in (afternoon) did not appear to be in a good mood, extremely stressed. Our room on the first floor offered a small patio that opened on at the same level of what appeared to be a daycare center. When ask to change room, it was a defenite no. Later on that evening, the clerk at the main desk changed and had a very adquate behaviour, same for the rest of the stay.

Overall: Unfortunately, the first impression is the one that stays in your mind, the Gentlemen that was at the main desk was kind of rude with us, did not inform us of the facilities (Terrace) We found out by ourselves thru a picture in the elevator.  (107938918)

Very nice reading room on the ground level. Staff was very pleasant. Room was comfortable and furnished nicely.

Maybe the air conditioning could be a little cooler.

Overall: The Medieval part of town was very charming. We ate dinner at a restaurant in the Piazza Grande (I think that was the name). I would like to come sometime when they are having festivities in the Piazza. I didn't know that La Vita e Bella was partially filmed in Arezzo. Now I want to watch the movie again and see if I recognize some of the places that I see in the movie.  (99191228)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
