Excellent service from polite and friendly staff, fast and efficient wireless internet, thoughtful touches in room, very good breakfast, convenient location.

Location was excellent, as we were traveling by train. Having the hotel right next to the train station was so convenient, and we never heard any trains during our four nights. Also, the hotel was right across the street from the walled entrance to Lucca, so it was easy to walk into the old city for shopping and meals.
Overall: The staff at Hotel Rex was the most helpful of all the hotels in our three weeks traveling in Europe! Friendly, cheerful, knowledgeable, with one staff person who spoke English very well, as well as 4 other languages! The accommodations were comfortable, roomy, and the hotel was in a great location when traveling by train. I would highly recommend staying in Hotel Rex to any of my friends and family visiting Lucca. (97616432)

Overall: Lovely, extremely clean, nice size room. King size bed. Plenty of closet space. Air conditioning worked really well. Absolutely wonderful location...across the street from the wall to the city and right next door to the train station and the best gelato in town!!! Staff was extremely accomodating. We would definitely stay here again if we go to Lucca again. (97567821)
