The staff were excellent and very friendly. They drove us to the Padre Pio sanctuary when we needed to go there, and gave advice on various items, including a good local restaurant. One even dropped our friends home to another hotel in the area late at night when there was no taxi. I felt that the staff were more than willing to go out of their way to assist the guests, and made every effort to make our stay extremely pleasant.
The only (very small) criticism i would have is that I did not like the quality of the towels in the bathroom!
Overall: I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in San Giovanni Rotondo, and our visit to the Padre Pio Sanctuary, which was the main purpose of our visit. It is a beautiful town, and I was delighted to note that the commercialisation of the town has not had an adverse effect on the service offered in the hotels, shops and restaurants. It is obvious that the town is expanding rapidly as a result of the number of people visiting, but I hope the friendliness of the people remain the same into the future. (97838040)

Overall: I would be happy to stay at this hotel again, all the staff were very friendly and helpful,and we enjoyed the food. Although the hotel is not in the centre of San Giovanni Rotondo, the town it is only a gentle 10 minute walk away. The hotel does provide a free shuttle to Padre Pio's shrine and will collect you if you give them a phone call. There is a large supermarket about 200 yards from the hotel where you can buy fruit, water, wine etc. (97741399)
