The walk directly to the sea front is down a steep incline with around 200 steps, the alternative route through the back streets was much more pleasing and less exhausting on the way back. We found the food in the hotel expensive in comparison to other restaurants and a kettle in the room would have been welcome.
Overall: The location was excellent with fantastic views over the bay. The hotel is charming and the room we had overlooking the sea could not have been better. I would recommend this hotel to anyone (not ideally suitable for disabled people as there are a lot of steps) The local area is worth exploring and there is too much to see and do in one week so we will be returning.
