Friendliness, well mannered staff .Cleanliness of room and attention to detail. Frequent changing of bed linen and towels. Convenient hotel position to tavernas, mini market etc.. On bus routes to Chania.Lovely pool area and surrounding area.
Some" musical" noise generated from nearby beach...not loud but could be intrusive at times.

Overall: We had a lovely stay at the Hotel Folia. The hotel is set just back from the town, so nice and quiet, but easily walkable to the beach and tavernas/shops. The views from all windows were superb. We had a two bedroom appartment on two floors which was fairly basic but clean and spacious. The bathroom was very good for Greece - with a proper bath with shower over. The room was cleaned every day and towels replaced, although it was low season and the hotel was virtually empty so whether this would be the case in high season I don't know. The hotel is family run and they made us very welcome and the service was great - they were always on hand to answer queries etc. The hotel also had a very nice pool whcih the children enjoyed, Overall a very nice, good value for money hotel.
