Nice hotel. Very good restaurant.
No problem at all with Herad Hotel. However, I had to change a reservation at the next stage (Edda Hotel in Höfn) and it was total chaos. The central office sent me a confused reply saying they could not change the reservation for a reason that was totally wrong (they claimed incorrectly that I had booked through an agency, email from Edda Hrönn of 20.07.2009, time 12:21). I called the hotel and explained the situation. However, the confusion caused by the central reservation office ended up in an erroneous cancellation (rather than amendment of the reservation). At our arrival in Höfn, there was no room available. Luckily, the receptionists in Höfn did their best (they were very kind!) to arrange an emergency accomodation (which was by necessity below the expected standards).
