From here you can explore the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, North Pennines, Kendal, and the Scottish Borders. Cumbria and the Lake District are often referred to as 'the most beautiful corner of England'. Shap Wells is the ideal place from which to discover this 'beautiful corner'. Some of the country's most spectacular scenery and historic towns and picturesque villages can be found within an hour of the hotel. Shap Wells has extensive lounges with bar facilities, one of which, the Riverside Lounge, overlooks the River Birkbeck and fells.
The hotel has undergone a continuous programme of expansion and refurbishment over the last 40 years.

We serve fresh, wholesome, well presented menus, specialising in serving large numbers with meals that are enjoyable and are served efficiently, with as little fuss as possible.
