About Camelia Hotel hotel

Located in a superb position on the seafront at Thorpe Bay and commanding unrivalled views of The Thames Estuary. A mile from Southend on Sea, close to both the rail station and the Airport. London is only a 45 minute drive away.

The luxurious one hundred year old 3 star hotel has been completely renovated to ensure its reputation as Southend's finest hotel is maintained well into the new Millennium. We have been awarded a prestigious silver award by The English Tourist Board and have an aa 3 star rating in excess of over 70%. Our fully air-conditioned restaurant, which is open daily, offers an excellent variety of fine cuisine. We have a well stocked bar which boasts an extensive wine list. In the summer months you can enjoy a quiet drink on the patio taking in the wonderful sea views.

These luxury suites all have a King-size bed and each has its own separate lounge. These suites are separate from the hotel and as such are designed for a quiet stay. To that effect, no phones are installed, and there is no room service. The full dining facilities are of course available in the main hotel block. Directions

Hotel Map

From the m25 take the a13 or a127 turning to Southend. When at Southend follow the signs to the seafront. Turn left on to seafront. We are located 1 mile east of the pier. Rail services from London Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria, or Fenchurch Street to Thorpe Bay: both stations are just a short taxi ride away.
