This elegant William and Mary house was built in the 17th century and is set in 63 acres of Hampshire's downland countryside, situated on the outskirts of the historic city of Winchester.
The house is a charming home from home in which to unwind, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the friendly and long-serving staff.
The Drawing Room and Cedar Bar have enchanting views along Lainston's spectacular avenue of Limes. This is the perfect place to enjoy afternoon tea or a pre-dinner cocktail.
The elegant Avenue Restaurant, which overlooks the gardens, offers an imaginative selection of dishes, complemented by an extensive range of fine wines.
The bedrooms and suites are all individually decorated, reflecting the period of the house.

By motorway: From the south via the m3 Leave the m3 Junction 11 (b3335) signposted Winchester S&W. Straight over the 1st roundabout, 2nd exit of second roundabout, Badge Farm Road. Straight across next roundabout, 2nd exit next roundabout. Through 2 sets of traffic lights. Left at the mini roundabout onto Chilbolton Avenue, follow to end, take left onto Stockbridge road, proceed on this road for approx 2 miles. On brow of hill Lainston House is signposted next left. Travel 150 yards and Lainston House is 1st right. From London via M3: Travel south on the M3 take junction8 onto A303 (Andover, Salisbury, South West) travel 7 miles on A303, take the turning for the A34 Winchester. Travel for 5 miles south on the A34 taking the B3420 signposted Winchester. At the Three Maids Hill roundabout take the B3420 to Winchester. Pass the Army Training Regiment Camp, take the next right turn over brow of hill, signposted Harestock, onto the Harestock Road. Travel to end of this road (approx 1 mile) turn right in the direction of Stockbridge (B3049). Travel half a mile, sigh on brow of hill 'Lainston next turning on Left' and Lainston is 150 yards on right.
