Tucked away from London’s hustle and bustle, the Hempel, complete with its private Zen Garden, offers exclusive dining in stunning, stylish surroundings. Regarded by many as a well-kept secret, the restaurant’s understated sophistication appeals to residents and the local set alike. The restaurant offers fine dining and superb cuisine, with a menu that changes regularly to reflect the finest, freshest produce available, highlighting the best of British and European ingredients from handpicked, independent suppliers. Signature dishes include pan-fried Scottish diver scallops with globe artichoke puree, Jerusalem artichoke foam and grain-mustard jelly. The Laverstock Estate farm partridge with pearl barley, celeriac, smoked bacon and cep mushrooms provides another delicate taste sensation. An iced ginger parfait, green tea jelly, coconut mousse and crystallised ginger makes for a delicious but supremely light dessert. Advance bookings are recommended to avoid disappointment.

By Air: The hotel is approximately 13 miles (21 km) from London Heathrow Airport. The Heathrow Express train service runs regularly from the airport to London Paddington Railway Station and takes less than 25 minutes to reach Paddington. The hotel is just a 7-minute walk from Paddington Station. By London Underground: The nearest London Underground stations are Lancaster Gate, which is on the Central line, and Bayswater, which is on the Circle and District lines of the London Underground network. By Train: The hotel is just a 7-minute walk from London Paddington Railway Station. Parking: Public car parking is available at an additional cost in the NCP public car parks near the hotel.
