Castle Hotel Gold Award, Taunton

Run by the Chapman family for 60 years, the Castle Hotel has won many awards, from a 'Michelin Star', to Tatler's 'Best Out Of Town Restaurant' award (2002). It also has a '4-Star Gold Award' from VisitBritain.

Each room is designed by the director, Louise Chapman. All have standard facilities, as well as LCD TVs and free Wi-Fi internet access. Limited 24-hour room service is available.

The Castle's award-winning restaurant has won an array of awards from the coveted Michelin Star, to 'Top 30 in the UK' in the 2008 Good Food Guide. Chef Richard Guest uses only the freshest of locally grown ingredients to create traditional dishes with a modern twist.
