Head chef, Jose Grazziosi, joined the George Hotel in May 2007 and has brought with him a wealth of experience, having been head chef at the Jesmond Dene Hotel in Yorkshire for the previous 2 years. Before that Jose spent 5 years as sous chef at Rick Stein's seafood restaurant in Padstow.
Menus are seasonal, and the food is contemporary, with a European influence. Seafood features prominently, including the renowned seafood soup, a house speciality that is not to be missed.

The George Hotel is ideally situated for the Lymington to Yarmouth Car Ferry Terminal. Ferries run every half an hour from April-December, January March a winter timetable operates. The crossing takes half an hour and it is possible to travel as a foot passenger. Ferries on the hour from Yarmouth connect with the fast train service to London with an approximate Journey time of 2.5 hours from London to Yarmouth. Parking Facilities: long stay car parking facilities are available within a few minutes walk of Yarmouth Terminal and at Lymington Terminal
