About Bear Of Rodborough hotel

High above the Cotswold town of Stroud, sat amidst an expanse of National Trust land, lies the Bear of Rodborough Hotel.

Built some 300 years ago, this former coaching inn has been attentively restored to embrace its heritage and period features; the interior has been lavished with rich fabrics and antique furniture. From its position on Rodborough Common The Bear commands spectacular views over the region's surrounding hills and valleys.

The award-winning Box Tree Restaurant. The restaurant is located in the oldest part of the building with the original large archways dating back to the coaching inn days. The decor is soft, rich colours with fine views over the common.

By Road From Junction 13 of the m5- Take the a419 to Stroud. Once in Stroud follow the signs to Rodborough. Keep going up the hill, across a set of traffic lights and once at the top, turn left at the t junction. The Bear is on your right. From London - Take the M4 to junction 15 and then the A419 signposted Cirencester. Follow this road through Cirencester until you see a sign for Minchenhampton on the left. Follow this road through Minchenhampton and up to Rodborough Common. The Bear can be seen on your left.
