Brand new 2 and 3-bedroom cottages available a short walk from the hotel. The cottages offer independent living with the benefit of hotel services. Decorated and furnished to the highest standard, the accommodation is unrivalled in this area. The cottages consist of 2/3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, a lounge, a private garden and parking.
The 60-seater oak-beamed restaurant retains many of its 17th-century features, and is lit by candles in the evenings. There is a varied range of English and French dishes, and locally produced foods are used where possible. The wine list features 50 carefully selected wines. The bar boasts one of the largest walk-in fireplaces and open bread ovens. The bar has been carefully modernised to retain the atmosphere of a traditional old inn. With original oak beams, an imposing fireplace, a natural slate and wood floor and a wide range of fireside meals, the bar offers a comfortable setting. The beer garden and extensive landscaped grounds are open all to guests.
By Car From London: - Take the M25 to the M3. - Leave the M3 at junction 8 (A303). - Head alone the A303 for approximately 85 miles (137 km). - Drive across the Podimore roundabout; across the Yeovil roundabout; and turn off at the 2nd slip road signposted to Crewkerne. From the M5 to Bower Hinton, Martock: - Leave the M5 at junction 25 (Taunton exit). - At the roundabout take the A358 to Yeovil (A303). - Turn left at the next roundabout (A303 towards Yeovil/London). - Drive for approximately 8 to 10 miles along the A303 and take the slip road signposted to Crewkerne/Bower Hinton. - At the bottom of the slip road follow signs to Bower Hinton. - The Hollies is half a mile on the right-hand side.
