Situated in the heart of beautiful Mid-Wales between Newtown and Machynlleth. This 17th century Inn offers a warm welcome to travelers and locals alike.
Peter & Jenny Canning and their staff look forward to welcoming you to this beautiful, yet little known, part of Wales. We have three bars and offer a wide selection of beers, lagers, and ciders as well as a varied range of quality home cooked meals to cater all tastes. All of our letting rooms have recently been refurbished to a high standard with spacious en-suite shower rooms throughout.

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Room five is a comfortable room on the rear of the building over the bar. Rooms three and four are cosy rooms at the front of the building. All rooms have en suite facilities. Classic full cooked breakfast included in price.

Our dining is informal in the non-smoking lounge bar.
We are situated on the edge of the village of Carno alongside the a470, 12 miles from Newtown and 17 miles from Machynlleth. If coming from the North or West, we are on the right, just before you leave the village. If coming from the South or East, we are on the left, 150 yards after the 'Carno' sign.
