The Boar's Head Hotel is a famous Coaching Inn, steeped in history and dating back to the early 17th Century. Today with the Wales Tourist Board 3*, it offers en-suite facilities in all bedrooms.
With its enviable location, the hotel is suited to business travellers, as well as leisure and holiday travellers. We also have two rooms for the disabled with ground floor access. In the Hotel's Olde Worlde restaurant you will find an extensive menu, catering to most palates, serving excellent cuisine all day, every day. The lounge area offers a relaxing atmosphere for either a quiet drink or an informal meal, while our well appointed bars offer a selection of Traditional Real Ales as well as keg bitters, lagers, cider and a wide variety of wines and spirits. We are proud to be a Felinfoel house. The Restaurants and Lounge area, beautifully Oak Panelled, offer a choice of smoking or non-smoking. The popular Carvery is open every lunchtime and is also available for weddings, private parties, etc. The restaurant caters for all with a wide selection of favourite foods such as steaks, fish and vegetarian options. The Hotel has fifteen comfortable letting rooms, each with colour TV showing 10 channels, shave point, en-suite facilities, direct dial telephone, alarm clocks and complimentary hot beverages tray. All rooms are non-smoking. Being a family run hotel, children are most welcome. Our younger guests have their own special menu with all their favourite foods. Cots, highchairs and smaller beds are available at no extra charge. Baby listening monitors are available on request. The secure private car park at the rear of the building will accommodate up to fifteen cars. There is also parking under cover for motorcycles. MAG Members welcome! The Hotel has six twin bedded rooms, each with a 10 channel colour television, direct dial telephone and complimentary hot beverage tray. Two of the twin rooms have ground floor access and have been adapted for wheelchair users. These rooms are situated at the rear of the hotel, near the car park. Please contact the hotel, should a ground floor room be required. ( Please note- one of the rooms is smaller than the average room, but has twin beds to allow for a carer to stay in with a disabled guest.)

By Car: From the M4 Swansea: - Follow the A48 into Carmarthen. - Take the 2nd exit at the roundabout and cross the bridge named Lesneven Bridge, following the signs for town centre. - Take the 2nd exit at the next roundabout (by B&Q) and go straight on at the next roundabout (2nd exit again). - At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit and follow the one way system past the bus station for approximately 200 yards. - We are situated on the left, approximately 20 yards after the speed bump. From the A40 (Haverfordwest/St Clears): - Travelling east, follow the A40 into Carmarthen until the dual carriageway ends. - At the 1st roundabout (by B&Q) and at the next roundabout, go straight on. - At the 3rd roundabout, take the 1st exit. - Follow the one-way system past the bus station for approximately 200 yards. - We are situated on the left, approximately 20 yards after the speed bump. From the A40 (Llandovery/Llandeilo): - Travelling west, follow the bypass into Carmarthen town centre. - As you get nearer to the town, there are signposts for Lammas Street Hotels. Follow the signposts. - Follow the one-way system through the bus station for approximately 200 yards. - We are situated on the left, approximately 20 yards after the speed bump. From A484 (Cardigan) and A485 (Lampeter): Follow directions as above. Bus station: 3 minutes walk. Railway station: 8 minutes walk. Cardiff International Airport: 60 miles/ 97 km. Irish Ferries - Pembroke Dock, Fishguard, Swansea are all within a one-hour drive.
