The Melbourne house hotel is located in the heart of London and is recommended by the AA, Lets Go and Frommers.
This family hotel run by John and Manuela Desira has been in business for the past 20 years and is noted for the family atmosphere and especially for the standard of house keeping.
The hotel has been totally refurbished in 2007 and all rooms except the 2 basic single are with private bathroom, and offer flat-screen digital TV, along with tea/coffee making facilities.
Melbourne House is just a 5 minute walk from Pimlico and 12 minutes from Victoria Station. The Gatwick Express from Victoria takes just 35 minutes while Heathrow Airport is easily reached by both the airbus and the underground.

All our rooms have an en suite shower/bathroom (except basic single rooms). Our beautiful showers with bi-fold doors are of high standard and offer very good water pressure. Each room is equipped with all common facilities.
Our Single basic is very small but cosy room with a wash basin and a mirror. There is one shared bathroom between two rooms only (on a different floor). Both Basic single rooms face the back of the hotel.
The double rooms are painted in a light shade of cream with white furniture and a firm bed. Each room has a flat screen digital TV. Some of the double rooms are at the front of the house which have views of other Victorian properties, some are at the back which are quieter but with the same views.
Our twin room is in a light shade of cream with white furniture and firm beds. Each room has a flat screen digital TV. Rooms at the front of the house overlook the road and rooms at the back have a view of small Victorian properties and their gardens.
The quad en suite room is painted in a light shade of cream with white furniture and a firm bed. It consists of 2 rooms and has one double bed and 2 single beds. It has a private bathroom and a flat screen digital TV. This room is facing the back of the hotel.
The triple room is painted in a light shade of cream with white furniture and a firm bed. The room has flat screen digital TV. The room is at the back of the house.
