The Borrowdale Gates Country House Hotel has panoramic views of the valley and the surrounding English Lake District. Nestling peacefully in two acres of wooded gardens on the edge of the ancient hamlet of Grange (near Keswick).

This charming Lakeland house is set amidst the breathtaking scenery of the Borrowdale Valley and close to the shores of Derwentwater, often referred to as the 'Queen of the English Lakes'. The hotel accommodation is ideally situated for walking, climbing, and touring. There are many places of literary and historical interest within leisurely motoring distance passing through areas of scenic beauty.

After the completion of a major refurbishment in March 2009, the hotel is now fully reopened.

Cancellations

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

All children are welcome. Baby cots are not available. All children from 2 to 12 years are charged GBP 35.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
